the uk, with over 10 years experience you will be sure to receive the best workmanship possible with a lifetime guarantee.

WHAT IS ELECTROSTATIC FLOCKING

Electrostatic flocking is  great way to give your dull damaged plastics a new life.

Wondering what flocking is all about? Flock is small lengths of fibre that can vary dependent on requirements and purpose. Electrostatic energy is used to charge the surface, which causes the fibres to penetrate the adhesive layer. This causes the fibres to stand up on end to create a smooth surface. Some common uses for flock are:

  • Dashboards
  • Door cards
  • Glove boxes
  • Aftermarket gauges and pods
  • A, B, C pillars
  • Parcel shelves
  • Roof linings

THE PROCESS

When your parts arrive everything is washed and degreased removing any foreign build up, dirt and grease.

Everything is then prepped and primed using the correct primers.

A two part epoxy is then sprayed onto the product which is conductive

the flock is then applied with 70,000volts of electricity causing the fibres to stand up on edge.
